So whats so great about Halo3? Well the major achievement (apart from the immensely immersive world and narrative of Master Chief) is the online multi player mode. The “pop culture phenomenon” as Microsoft put it, has seen more than a million members worldwide come online to battle it out. One of the major factors behind the huge success of Halo3 (helped by the £30 million budget) is the fact that the creators understand the fan base, “Halo Nation”. This has meant that the core factors that made the original a success have remained the same, whilst the rest of the game has been tweaked, with the introduction of new equipment and customisable armour.
